Celebrating The Small Wins

Have you stopped setting goals because you never achieve them? This week I talk about the importance of celebrating small wins! I share my embarrassingly small personal wins so that you know that no win is too small. Celebrate you, celebrate your wins and have more fun getting to where you are going!!! Life is way better when you celebrate success (however small) rather than focus on failure. Learn how two of my favourite books tell us how to make it easier.

  • Hey sister, I see you and me and a daily side plank in our immediate future. Tell me the duration. Text daily to confirm. Are you in? 😊

    • Doris,
A side bridge is a step down from the side plank! But yes! I accept your challenge and I will check in daily by text! (evil loving friend!!!)

Yay, found the website. Although checking the fb page will likely be more consistent for me.

    Here goes:
My new habit is going to be to drink a large glass of cold water first thing in the morning. It’s got to be good for me, right? I’ve just completed a 30 day HIIT challenge but am having surgery on Thursday so that will have to go on pause for a bit so hydration it is!

That’s it, I found the new habit I want to start! I will stretch every day! I’ve been wanting to start that for a while, now is the time! Thank you!

    • Awesome Marie-Andree,’
thank you so much for sharing. I’m excited for your because small wins are awesome, especially when doing them will help you feel good! don’t forget to mark it down somewhere so you get the visual reward!!!

    • You go girl! Steal away. I will let my “editor” know you like his tune!!! He’ll be thrilled. I love it. he tried to tweak it and I said “no!” I want that!!!

      Hi Bona,

I also love your intro music! My goal at the moment (during this pandemic) is to follow Louise Devenney’s daily fitness classes on Zoom. For one, I need to get into shape and two, I feel a connection, even if on line. The rest is a daily struggle: clean, cook, teach, shop and work. I really feel blessed though under the circumstances.

      • Hi Josee, I just saw Louise’s daily classes. I am going to check it out too. She is such a great teacher!!! Thank you for reminding me! Hopefully I will see you there! Its more than 2 minutes though, so is there something you can do outside of her classes that is 2 minutes that no matter how your day goes, you can still fit in? maybe one of her exercises?? Good Luck. let me know how it goes!

Inspiring!! Something I’ve really wanted to do more often is use my massage ball to work out the tension in my neck and back! I know my body would be happier if I did it. I’ll try 2 min a day!

    • I like this one Mandy! I think taking care of yourself will get addictive!! and now that you have publicly declared it you know I’m going to check back in with you!!! Good Luck! Don’t forget the visual recognition!

Here is my habit which I have tried many times and always failed at sustaining in time. So I will try again with your 2min tip: deep breathing or some sort of meditating technique. I only need to figure out if I want to do this first thing in the morning or last thing before going to bed. Any suggestion?

    • Hey lady! Excited you are committing to something that is important to you! You know I love Wim Hoff but I know that is more than a “gateway habit”. However, there is a free 21 days mediation with Deepak Chopra and Oprah
https://chopracentermeditation.com/experience. Its way more than 2 minutes, but even if you just listen to their inspiration message at the beginning and breathe. I love listening to them. and full disclosure, I have never made it to the 20 minutes yet! Their messages are good. I also use Oak Meditation, you can choose your moderator and sounds, so I really like that! And lastly, another friend has suggested headspace.com I haven’t gotten a chance to check that one out yet! Good Luck. Remember to write it down once you’ve done it!! enjoy!

I have some small sticky circles I was about to throw out but now are my calendar markers for my small chalkenge. I did break my streak but got right back on track😊
Now after listening to today’s podcast I knew right away where my focus needs a tuning. I have enjoyed listening and engaging very much. Thanks heaps! ❤️
