Finding Ways to Mentally Recharge During COVID-19

In this episode I admit that COVID-19 made me question what I was doing. I didn’t feel worthy of this project, of inspiring people and motivating others to find their happy.

Why would anyone want to listen to me?

Luckily a good friend basically said “get over it! Acknowledge COVID-19 and then keep going.” That is what this episode is. Me admitting that fear of not being good enough almost shut me down before I even really got started.

What I realized in the conversation with that friend is that I’ve been sulking and eating my way through this “unprecedented time.” This Resulted in me using COVID 19 as my excuse not to start this podcast. That’s done. I realized that finding ways to mentally recharge during COVID 19 was going to get my energy back up and happiness back into my life. I’m done sulking and I’m ready to get back to finding more happy in my life and helping you find more happy in yours!

What are some ways you mentally recharge?

Do you know how you pick yourself up when you are feeling low? Do you know what energizes you? As a result of the tough love “pep talk” my friend gave me, I realized that I needed to, a. get over myself. And b. figure out how to pull myself out of this funk I was in. As in many things in my life, I made a list! I now have a list of things that recharge me. As a result of my list of How to Mentally Recharge During COVID 19, I find that I don’t’ let myself get as low and overwhelmed with the heaviness of the unknown right now. I hope this episode inspires you to make your recharge list, and find The Happier You.

Wow Bona! You have always been a very down to earth person and REAL. You seemed to cover subjects I can totally relate to. I thoroughly enjoyed listening and look forward to more!

    Thanks Bona.

Working out is definitely one way that recharges me and makes me feel strong and confident. I discovered an awesome HIIT book that doesn’t require any equipment at all. If anyone is interested, it’s called, “High Intensity Interval Training for Women” (it should work fine for guys too ;). By Sean Bartram.

    I’ve found a great workout

Thank you, thank you, thank you BJ …. I feel so much gratitude and joy after listening to you. It’s a great gift: I feel I’m totally getting the best of you, and I hope to be able to give back as well. <3 challenging times we are all living in, but what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. SO it's time for a transformation and find the happier you/me. (insert multicolour confetti hear, a huge smile, some claps and a big hug)
