This week I am talking about how you can get to the point of embracing and accepting your uniqueness.
I believe figuring this out is a big part of figuring out your happiness. Instead of letting outside factors tell you what YOUR happiness looks like, I think you are worth the investment of time to figure out what you really want by getting to know that beautifully unique person you are underneath all your different roles. In today’s episode I make my case as to why I think journaling is the best way to help you get this figured out.
A big part of the problem of getting to your happier, is knowing what that happier looks like for you.
So many of us spend our time trying to fit in, keep up with the Joneses. Those darn Joneses. Or achieve goals that we think we are supposed to reach for, we don’t actually slow down and take the time to figure out what our happy looks like. So much of what we think happiness and success looks like is because of marketing messages we receive, not because we have actually spent time asking ourselves what our happiness looks like. Or, put another way, what is your heart’s desire. What is the dream in your heart?
I think you can start to figure out what your happiness looks like by spending time with your thoughts.
Slowing down enough each day to journal your thoughts, your feelings and learn to give space for thoughts and feelings that are just yours. Not what someone else told you you should want, what you should reach for, or even how you should feel. I think this is how you are going to get to the point of embracing and accepting your uniqueness.
I know I have talked about this before…but today I want to revisit the happiness tool that is journaling.
